About Us

Background

The primary purpose of the LSBP is to reduce traffic congestion in Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda.  Measure J, a 1/2 cent sales tax in Contra Costa County, provides the majority of the funding for the program.

The governing board, the Lamorinda School Bus Transportation Agency (LSBTA), is comprised of elected officials from the cities and school districts in Lamorinda. The LSBTA generally meets on the second or third Monday of the month at the City of Lafayette offices.  Meetings are open to the public.  Contact us for more information.

 FIRST STUDENT

Daily bus service is provided by FIRST STUDENT, a professional transportation provider with an excellent safety record. All drivers receive extensive classroom and behind-the-wheel training approved by the California Highway Patrol.  Drivers are required to pass a full Dept. of Justice background check and are subject to on-going alcohol and drug screening.

Call FIRST STUDENT for late buses and lost items at 925-363-7327.  The dispatch center is open from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
