GENERAL INFORMATION - Lamorinda Students

The LSBP provides school bus service to over 1600 students in the Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda and Acalanes Union School Districts. The program is run by a Joint Powers Authority (JPA), comprised of elected officials from the three cities and four school districts in Lamorinda.

The JPA contracts with FIRST STUDENT to provide daily transportation. The purpose of the program is to reduce traffic congestion and to provide safe, convenient and reliable home-to-school transportation. Read more about the LSBP in the "About Us" section.

Special Note: All drivers must pass a full Department of Justice background check and alcohol and drug test before driving. See "About Us" for more details.

How It Works...: Lamorinda parents sign up for school bus service by completing an application and pre-paying for school bus service for the school year. Students are issued an annual pass which lists the student's name, route number and bus stop.
