ANNOUNCEMENTS: Registration for the 2019-2020 is now OPEN!​​  Please note that due to a significant increase in the cost of school bus transportation next year, parent fees have also increased. Measure J funds will provide 59% of the revenue for the program and parents will provide 41%.  The LSBP now offers FULL PAYMENT or MONTHLY PAYMENTS, see details below.

Annual Bus Pass
All students must have a bus pass in order to ride.  The Annual Bus Pass allows your student to ride all year - Round Trip, AM Only or PM Only.  When you purchase a bus pass online, you'll receive a confirmation email which can be printed and used as a temporary bus pass until your laminated bus pass arrives in the mail.  The mailing will include our Welcome Letter, Safety Information , Bus Rules and individual bus schedules.

Bus Schedules and Maps
You must know your route number and bus stop to register and pay for the Annual Bus Pass. Click on the menu to the left for Lafayette/Moraga Schools or Orinda Schools for bus schedules and maps.

Payment and Parent Fees
NEW this year - Parents can now make a FULL PAYMENT or MONTHLY  PAYMENTS via automatic recurring billing (ARB).  Payment is due when registering online.  Free or reduced-price transportation is available for families that qualify.

$367 One Way (AM or PM) 
$186 Upgrade to Round Trip

MONTHLY PAYMENTS (ARB) (Dec-May)
$94/month Round Trip - 6 payments
$63/month One Way (AM or PM) - 6 payments

Refund Policy
Full Payments
Pro-rated refunds are available for the Annual Bus Pass with a $25.00 processing fee.  The processing fee is waived if you cancel before the start of school.  Pro-rated refunds are based upon the date you return the bus pass to us.  Please include your credit card number and expiration date along with the bus pass as our system does not keep the information.

Monthly Payments

Full refunds are available before the start of school.  After the start of school, a refund is available if the number of payments exceeds the months of service.  Refunds are based upon the date you return the bus pass to us.

One Trip Passes - Guest Passes
Need one guest pass?  A Single Use One Trip Pass is available! A single use one trip pass allows your student to ride one time on a particular date.  Sign up tonight and ride tomorrow!  The price is $4.00 thru June 7, 2019 and $6.00 thereafter.

Need multiple passes? One Trip Passes allow your student to ride one time on any day.  Please purchase online, but allow three working days to deliver by US mail.  You may also purchase passes at our Lafayette office, 3675 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Suite 255, Lafayette, CA.  School sites have a few on hand for emergencies only. One Trip passes are not accepted on full routes; your student may be denied transportation. UPDATE: OIS does not sell One Trip Passes at school.

How to Use a Different Route or Bus Stop
If your student has an Annual Bus Pass, please write a note to the driver for each occasion granting permission to use a different route or bus stop.  If you don't have an Annual Bus Pass, please purchase a One Trip Pass in advance.

Late Buses and Text Messaging
Late Bus?  Call First Student dispatch at 925-926-0375.  Annual Bus Pass holders are eligible to participate in our text messaging service.  We'll text you if your bus is running 15 minutes late.  View our text messaging policy here.  Note:  Some cell phone carriers may block our texts.  Contact us for instructions to unblock your phone.  Contact your phone carrier for any continued issues.

Late buses, lost items, planning a field trip?  Please call First Student at 925-926-0375.  Lost your bus pass?  Call the school bus office in Lafayette at 925-299-3216.

Replacement Bus Pass
Students must have a valid bus pass to ride the school bus. If your student has lost or misplaced their pass please order a replacement pass. The fee for a replacement fee is $5. Please allow 3 days for delivery by US Mail.
